| River runs,
once one of the most popular type of events on the west coast
have dwindled considerably over the past few years. Runs such
as West Coast Nationals, Beat the Heat and Spring Splash have
sank in the river once hosting the party and truck shows.
Spring Splash, thrown by Spectrum Minis and friends; ran for
ten years. That however, was a good 8 years ago. Bringing
the even back a little later in the year as Summer Splash
created a huge buzz amongst both the old and new generation
of mini truckers.
Many looking to get the party started early on Thursday night
ended up on the sides of freeways in thunderstorms and flash
floods as weather closed down some roads. But luckily the
heat came in and the rest of the weekend was perfect enough
for drinkin, showing trucks, cruisin' and of course, skinny
dipping drunk in the lake.
