Spring Break in Lake Havasu, AZ is usually reserved for college students winding down from finals by drinking and partying the week away on the waters of the Colorado River. This past weekend, mini-truckers, off-road nuts and the crews from the Primedia Truck Group (Truckin', Sport Truck, Mini Truckin', Diesel Power, 4Wheel & Off Road, 4WD & SUV, Four Wheeler, Off-Road and Jp magazines) invaded spring break, bringing with them their trucks and their appetites for as much, if not more fun and havoc as the spring breakers themselves.

The annual Truckin' State 2 State Cruise & Poker Run took place on Friday morning, before the show weekend. Meeting up at Out of Control Offroad of Irvine, CA early in the morning were dozens of trucks, everything from primered mini trucks to cover trucks joined together to visit local shops and companies before heading off for Havasu. Each of the five poker cards were handed out at each stop, the last being buffet lunch provided by the Beer Hunter in Rancho Cucamonga. But before filling their appetites for pasta; the cruisers found their appetite for custom trucks filled by the shops they visited. The second stop was MKW Wheels in City of Industry. After that a short drive up to BTW Performance in Azusa showcased some of the most insanely lifted trucks anywhere in the country. The final stop before lunch was S&S Motorsports in Rancho Cucamonga; this was also the final raffle spot before Havasu. The Beer Hunter a few blocks away served lunch and as the last stop for those continuing the cruise up to Havasu for the show weekend.

The night before the show also landed on St. Patty's Day; which meant more drinking than usual before a truck show during spring break in Havasu (ok, maybe the usual amount). The weather was perfect for fun in boats or on ground viewing the trucks brought out for the show. Music for the weekend was provided by Roulette and Jeremy of MadHouse FX with the occasional live concert from bands Six Gun and Butane. The SlingShot could give you an overhead, if not upside down view of the whole show if you had a strong enough stomach to take the ride. The
grounds closed for the night allowing the usual spring break festivities to continue.

With hundreds of half-naked college girls in town for Spring Break; a grand bikini contest was a must. Judges and spectators witnessed nearly a dozen girls shake, dance and strut their stuff on stage to the sounds of MadHouse FX. Ultimately; the lovely Nikki Zeno took top honors at the show. Police held a tight leash; not only arresting partiers for underage drinking and causing havoc at the local hotels but they even pulled a bikini contest contestant off the stage during the contest for flashing the crowd. But not even police could stop truck fans, partiers and college students out to have some fun in the sun.
