Rain opened the So Cal car show season
at Forbidden Fantasy in March. Thankfully, the few months of
unpredictable weather came to an end in time for the 2nd Annual
GOEZ Show N Shine presented by Local Finesse. The forecast was
hot and sun was shining as bright as the rims and paint on the
vehicles that came to show at GOEZ Customs in Placentia, CA.
As the cars and trucks lined up, roll in began early and the
show quickly filled up leading to many clubs unfortunately being
turned away.
Roulette of Mad House FX and the reggae band Idren kept the
crowd entertained while spectators saw the large variety of
vehicles of everything from magazine cover trucks, to SUVs with
so many TV monitors that some were forced to place them on the
exterior and even in the engine. A main attraction of the show
being the 1960s city bus bagged by GOEZ...trust me you can't
miss it; as well as the lovely ladies of Local Finesse and GOEZ
keeping cool in the heat by showing someskin. Those not inclined
to do the same visited the Chilly Willy's shaved ice cart to
cool off.
Top honors for the show went to Edgar of Xtreme Lowz with
his body dropped and flamed yellow '81 Chevy C-10. Marc of
Coast Airbrush took home best paint with his featuring underwater
fantasy murals both inside and outside of the mostly windowless
Blazer. Sweet Ballerz brought the most vehicles out to the
show taking home club participation.
Look forward to the show next year; bigger and badder than
ever with a new location to hold the madness.
