You know its going to be a hot day when you're comfortable in
shorts and a t shirt at 5 AM in the morning. Such was the case
for the Southern California Mini-Truck Council Unity Car show
held at Mt. Sac College. Thankfully, they had dunk tanks to
help cool everyone off. As part of fundraising, the tanks are
usually meant for car club members to try and dunk their president
or vice-presidents. But the summer heat was so much that anyone
and everyone took a swim in the tanks.
The SCMTC is a collection of dozens of car and truck clubs
from So Cal put together to promote friendship and networking
between car clubs as well as to help organize and schedule
events throughout the show season. The council also throws
car shows, car washes and other events for charities and the
council run.
